Most if not all of Nathan’s team will improve with their run at Cambridge tonight but that doesn’t mean it won’t go home without a notch on the win belt.

This is where the spring racing starts to get serious and how they go as well as where they finish will be the focus tonight.

THREE BAGS FULL is one to keenly watch and Nathan makes no secret of the fact he rates his progress strongly.

“He feels stronger in his work and Mark thought the same when he came up and drove him. He went good first up.Barry and Scott’s runner will certainly be hard to beat but while he impresses as a staying type I think “Buster” is up to it and has a good gate too”

Stablemate DON’T GET ME STARTED ($9;2 dividends), Nathan’s drive, has a trickier draw which gives Mark the advantage tonight.

LADY DI ($7.50) resumes from the ace gate at 7.41 and much will depend on what she can gain from that.

“She has some gate speed and if she can hang on to the front long enough to sort a good one to follow she is a danger. She will improve but has come up well and seems a top three to me at least”

She may back up next week when Nathan expects to have five runners on hand for Alexandra Park.

ALECTO’S return will be of interest She is up against two sharp fillies from the Barry and Scott stable and as a result seems at luxury odds ($3.50) in this field.

Alecto had some torrid runs last time in against the best fillies and her form is not a guide to her ability.

“It was partly her. Her race style combined to the draws often meant she was parked or wide and considering that she went some great races” Nathan said

“Both Dad and I think from her work and trials she is stronger now and she has the gate to use that. She will be better but she is very well”
