Don’t Stop Dreaming-Darci to his friends- laid down the challenge to the Chariots of Fire and probably the Miracle Mile with an easy win in the Hondo Grattan at Menangle Saturday night meaning he has earned a start in the big four year old feature on March 1.

Driven a treat by Jack Callaghan, driving him for the first time, Don’t Stop Dreaming “feinted” fo the lead showing speed out of the gate but was then restrained to stay on the outside line and after 400m slotted into the one -one and was always going to be hard to beat from there, drawing out comfortably over the final stages posting smart sectionals without being put under a lot of pressure.

Mark is likely to want  to give him anothe run before the Chariots but he can no longer compete in the Paleface Adios on February 24 the second qualifying heat for the Chariots. There is a Free for All on that evening that may appeal.

Meanwhile Australia’s glamour pacer and Miracle Mile favourite Leap to Fame outsped his rivals in the $A100,000 Cranbourne Cup coming from last and wide at the bell to win easily in a record mile rate of 1.55.6
