Everything has gone smoothly on the Auckland trip so far and we are looking forward to the racing tomorrow night. It is a lead up race for them but they have been shaping well during the week.
I have visited Lincoln Farms before but this is the first time I have been based here and it’s a terrific place to train from.
The facilities are great and close to the track and to add to that everyone has been very welcoming and friendly and I really appreciate that.
The Auckland team should all go good races. Carter Dalgety has a drive for us on VESSEM and he is my value bet for the night.
HIGH ALERT Last week Mikayla made a strong case for Major Hot at Addington as a value bet. Paid over $7!
I mean CHASE A DREAM is going to be hard,Mark has been pleased with his work and he has the better draw, but Vessem has been working well too.It won’t be easy for either of them first time this way round but he could be the value.
I know Mark has been happy with the work of Treacherous Baby and she trialled well last week at home going against the boys and holding her own. A four horse race with SELF ASSURED will be interesting !
Reports from Nathan at home on the Addington runners are encouraging. MR KAPLAN is making a first start for us.He came down a couple of weeks ago from Tony and Nathan is very happy with his work. OSCAR looks hard to beat and LUVSTRUCK has a big drop in class from a Group race last week so must be hard. Hopefully we will have a good night in both places.
The Sales are coming up too. I like going to the Sales but not the pre-Sale parades so much. My problem is that I think they all look nice !
