INCENTIVISE  ($4.50 is favoured over the better drawn GEORGIE BEST ($6.50)in the Metro Final at Alexandra Park tonight but Nathan prefers to see them with equal opportunity.

“They are on the same level ability wise so I wouldn’t have had them that far apart personally” Nathan said

Incentivise went a big race in his heat but was more forward than Georgie Best and has a tricky gate. On the other hand he has part-owner Mark in the cart and his partners have been Purdon stable patrons for more years than they probably care to remember.

But then Georgie Best races for a syndicate which includes Steve Byrne, Steve Thompson and Bruce Irvine who are also long standing supporters and with several Group 1 triumphs to show for it.

Georgie Best  came home well in his heat in his first run in several months. Nathan did note before that he may need another one but this effort  suggested he is near peak for this.

Incentivise, a South Island purchase by Mark last year, can produce big runs also as he id last week and the skills of the Master must not be underrated but it may not pay to overlook the “outsider” of the stable.

At Addington  LOOK TO DA STARS lines up again after another disappointment freshened. He retains his followers at $8.50 considering his inconsistency but Nathan is not among those

“Not the sort of horse you can back with confidence he will do it right. If he does he can beat any field in this grade but if he doesn’t it is usually a disaster. H is well enough and I am not counting him out but he is also the risk”

He is much more confident about Jean Feiss’s latest successful selection in BEWARE THE STORM an impressive winner at Addington last week and headed to Ashburton on Sunday.

“Came through that race well and  done fine since. She should be hard to beat”
