Rising star Millwood Nike is poised to add to a remarkable All Stars Stables record in the Harness Millions for the 3 year old fllies atC Cambridge on Friday.

Should she justify short odds and win she will be the fifth filly from All Stars to win both the two and three year old divisions of the series and the third in four years.

It is hard enough to win one of the titles never mind both age groups and is all the more remarkable because with just 7 wins in the three year old filly division All Stars is a little “light” on those titles compared to the male stable members who have totalled 27 in all.

Megeara, raced by the late Peter Breckon with his brother Ken, completed the Sales double in 1996-97; Dancing Diamonds followed in 2011-12 for  Braeden and Caroline Whitelock and   Phil and Margaret Creighton while Jean Feiss has pulled off the double twice with Spanish Armada and Amazing Dream. She also raced last year’s filly winner True Fantasy.

Incidentally five males have managed the double for All Stars Il Vicolo,Jack Cade, Isaiah,Lazarus and One Change.

Millwood Nike was hoped to wind up her preparation for Friday on Wednesday along with Sucitra who has drawn next to her; and the male three year olds Sherlock, With Style,Sherlock and Sinbad who have had mixed fortunes with draws in their event.

Sinbad,to be driven by Mark has drawn wide on the 2nd line behind With Style who is of course wide on the front line.Sherlock is also in a very  tricky position for Blair Orange having drawn one on the second line.

Check back later in the week for Mark’s assessment of the team and what he expects from them.
