Olivia’s 2023 season looks like being even more successful than last year judging by the two win effort at Methven on Sunday her only two drives on the day. The first was over fellow junior drivers behind the Bob Butt trained Kikorangi Blue but she was up against all comers when the Joseph Gray prepared Press Play caused a minor upset two races later. She had won on Press Play back in November.
That was Olivia’s 4th win from 23 drives this season, the previous two being A Bettor You and Samhara for All Stars. Her stable duties affect her availalability as a free lance Junior but there were a couple of major dividends for that last year when Millwood Nike won the Helen Pope Fillies Stakes (G3) and then a memorable win in the New Zealand Oaks her first Group One success. She also posted a win on stable favourite Oscar Bonavena a special thrill.
