Nathan returns to the sulky tonight out to repeat his success with Just Us Two last time out though less bullish than maybe he had been last start.
“He has improved from that win but it is a good step up for a three year odl running against winners of multiple races. But he should go well all the same “
The Dobson brother and sister combo who race the appropriately named Just Us Two are keen for Nathan to retain the race day drive and he is happy to oblige.

Meanwhile Rubira is due to trial in the near future with a possible race in August in Auckland but that is still up in the air.
“The races up here are $15k and you can’t always be sure what will happen and I guess the best races for him are down south. He has come up well this time and the owners and I will talk about that closer to the time.”
At this stage Nathan, always the realist, is keeping feet on the ground over a New Zealand Cup tilt.
“It will be up to him to tell us if he is ready to take on those elite ones. It might be too soon for him but we are very happy with what he is doing so far”
