With a big team at the trials on Wednesday living up to expectations Nathan now turns his attention to Addington tomorrow night where THE CON ARTIST and TREACHEROUS BABY are leading chances.
Treacherous Baby is first up at 5.31 and at tempting odds of $4.50 but there is a note of cautiion attached by Nathan.
“We are happy with how she has come up and she won her trial nice but the gate is a query (2nd row).
She is first up so we will be going for luck in the running from there. If she gets the luck fine but we don’t want to have a gutbuster at this stage”
Treacherous Baby,daughter of earlier stable star O Baby, showed early promise and is likely to be a factor in age group races later.
The Con Artist (7.39 $5 fixed) makes his debut and has shown up nicely at trials.
“I don’t know how he will measure up to (race winner) Ukraine but I think he is on the level with the rest of them” Nathan said of the two dividend race. The Con Artist, a son of Vincent and raced by Jean Feiss,is well trialled and primed for a forward run.
SHERLOCK and LOOK TO DA STARS will both head to the races next week after one trial others from the trials returning for the traditional stable second trial before racing.
