Purdon Racing was busier than usual at the Standardbred Sales this year and are offering you the chance to join the Stakes winning Kings of Harness and get that classic advantage with your investment.

The three are youngsters bought specifically for Mark and Nathan to syndicate on their own behalf. They were aimed at the place in the market which could appeal to bargain hunters who can get a good return for an investment suiting their resources.

Getting the chance to have Mark personally selecting your yearling is a rare opportunity given his record in the field and at a price you can afford.

Pic: Ask the man who owned one-SMOLDA was the last horse advertised on the stable website for syndication -and he won  millions.!

Mark said the three were specifically selecte by he and Nathan with a syndicate in mind.

“Basically it was on type bearing in mind a reasonable price to offer to the public but they are all from families which are good at producing winners as well which is something I look for. There is a variety among the pedigrees to help their appeal too.  We were quite pleased with the selection and hope they will also appeal to potential owners.

The three yearlings are;

Dream Light

(Lot 19) filly Captain Crunch-Forgotten Dreams-Bettor’s Delight. Purchase price $55,000 – 75 per cent available.  Share size by arrangement.

Note: Captain Crunch was one of the most popular young stallions at the sales 2024 being his first crop to race in New Zealand. This filly is closely related to Hug The Wind winner of over $350,000 Group One winner and a group winner for both Mark and Barry. The filly is a half-sister to Sprinter (1.48.6 US) the Group One winner of the WA Golden Slipper Stakes and Sparkie. Forever Dreams is closely related to Chase Auckland the former All Stars Stables powerhouse.

Shezsofast

(Lot 70) filly by Vincent-River Polka-American Ideal

Purchase price $35,000 – 75 per cent available.  Share size by arrangement

Note: Here is a bold buy. A filly bred by Vincent from a successful mare by a very successful stallion almost an outcross by today’s pedigree pages. Yet its one which has its own appeal. River Polka was a highly successful mare on the track (11 wins) and two of her three foals to race have been good winners. Her dam Isle of Innishfree by the champion pacer of his time Roydon Glen left 8 winners from 9 foals. This is a prolific winning family and something just  a little different at a sensible price

No Apologies

Lot 198 c Majestic Son-I’ve Got Attitude- Sundon

Purchase price $65,000 – 65% available, Share size by arrangement.

Notes: A first foal bred in the purple on the highly successful Majestic Son-Sundon cross (Sundees Sun) from a family of high class trotting performers. Names like Kyvalley Mac,Rare Opportunity,Dealornodeal etc are familiar names and some of the 6 winners who were half brothers or sisters to I’ve Got Attitude. A youngster selected by Mark and Nathan given the history of their stable with young trotters offers a lot of potential.
